I believe in helping students reach their full potential through the use of creative pedagogy. A well-rounded scholastic experience is important in shaping the trajectory of students' lives. The resulting experiences and relationships are very important for their future. I believe strongly in character education; it fosters solid bonds from administrators and teachers who truly care for their students. An administrator should engender in their students a love of learning. In addition, they should prompt staff to exhibit growth in their careers while also being accountable to a set of standards. An administrator should also be visible and open to change. Likewise, all of these points are integral in tutoring. A good tutor provides engaging customized instruction for each student. An effective tutor will also gradually ease responsibility, ensuring that in the end, the student has complete ownership of their education. Another equally important goal is to instill in students a love of learning, and to pass on the skills needed in the classroom and beyond. I have a wealth of teaching experience as a dean of students, teaching for the social studies department, and, more recently, as athletic director and assistant principle. I have enjoyed creating a student-centered classroom based on discipline and creativity. I tutor many subjects, including psychology, test preparation, AP history, geography, social studies, and more. In my free time, I enjoy travel, cooking, movies, and sports.
